Pupils and Students

Students

There are three aspects to Helping Learning for families and students.

One provides instant live contact with a teacher who hopefully will be able to assist you with your query and was set up to provide the same sort of help as you should receive when you raise your hand in class.

The second aspect offers the chance to book a tutorial session with a teacher when you will be able to have a longer session to discuss your work.

Thirdly there are revision sessions you can book where the teacher has already set up and described the content of the lesson which they will then adapt to your needs.

We suggest that you complete your registration now - it’s free - and then you will be ready to use Helping Learning whenever you need to.

Before you register you will need to download 'Skype' from www.Skype.com and register a username for each person in your family who is going to use Helping Learning. We use the free Skype service so you will incur no call charges.

If you are over 18 you can register and create your own Helping Learning account. If you are under 18 you will need a responsible adult to help register a family account with Helping Learning.

Helping Learning is a 'Pay As You Go' service and you can top up your account or obtain a refund of the balance at anytime - your money is held in an HSBC clients bank account and we suggest that you keep a small deposit there so you are ready to use the service without any delay.

When you use Helping Learning you will be asked to select a teacher from the list of teachers who are currently online. Before you make your choice of teacher, you will see how much they each will charge, you will be able to read their profile and also see the rating other students have given them.
